While on our annual Labor Day/Birthday beach trip, we went to see a dinner entertainment show called Medieval Times. Every year, we try to pick something special for Evan and now Brody to do. Last year, we went to see Dolly Parton's new dinner show, Pirate's Voyage (formerly The Dixie Stampede). Evan loves all things pirate (he's been one twice for Halloween) and enjoyed getting dressed up like a pirate (including face painting and full costume). Medieval Times is exactly what it sounds like -- a show about knights and a medieval period kingdom with sword fighting, jousting, and a king's feast. These dinner shows feed you plenty of food including a half a chicken each, a spare rib, some potato wedges, soup, bread, and a pastry for dessert. For dinner and evening entertainment, the price really can't be beat, and we all enjoyed this show. We actually found out they were running a special for a free upgrade to a "Royalty" package which gave you some free flags to wave, plastic keepsake cups, and getting to sit on the first row. To complete the knightly theme to our trip, we also took Evan to play a castle and dragon themed putt-putt course. He loves putt-putt (I did too when I was his age), and Myrtle Beach is like putt-putt capitol of the world. Ha!

Brody and I just watched this time while Daddy and Evan played. We learned earlier that putt-putt with Brody is exhausting business. |

I tried so hard to get this shot of the dragon's fire that would happen at regular intervals. Daddy finally took the camera and got it on the first try. Yeah, I was kind of mad at him but at least we have the picture. Ha! |
That looks like a ton of fun! How did your red knight do?!?
ReplyDeleteHa! Sadly, he lost his fight. Of course, I think the whole thing is "rigged." ;-) The black and white knight won.
