Fall Fun in 2008!

Fall of 2008 was so much fun with a walking, talking toddler. We spent a lot of time out of doors. In the South, Summer is so long and hot that Fall is often a more pleasant season for outdoor fun. We enjoyed going to the park more and showing Evan the beautiful colors of the changing leaves.

Here are some pictures of our fun fall adventures:

Climbing the stairs to go down the slide!

Down the slide I go!

Photobucket
Crossing the bridge very carefully! The big kids like to get on this bridge and make it shake. Evan doesn't get scared a bit! He is so brave!

Photobucket
Crawling through the tunnel! I wish I knew what he pretends to be when he is in there!

Photobucket
He loves to wear Daddy's hat and be just like Daddy!

Photobucket
I love to put his hat on his head backwards or sideways because he looks so cute, but he usually is quick to "fix" it! I happened to be quick enough to get a picture this time!

Photobucket
Another park and another slide, but I love how cute he looked in his little "skinny" jeans!

Photobucket
Playing with Mommy!

Photobucket
He loves to pretend he is Spiderman...I really don't know how he even knows who Spiderman is!

Photobucket
Mommy was a little nervous when he got all the way to the top!

Photobucket
Swinging with Daddy!

Playing with Mommy!

Picking "flowers" for Mommy!

See-sawing with Mommy!

Photobucket
Playing peek-a-boo!

Photobucket
Naptime with Nana!

Photobucket
Evan is all dressed for church in his argyle sweater vest, cords, and dress shirt. He sits patiently in his little chair and reads a book while he waits for Mommy and Daddy to get ready!

Photobucket
Stopping for a picture with Daddy on the way to nursery at church! They look so cute in their navy blue sweater vests! My preppy boys!

Photobucket
I love taking pictures of Evan in his church clothes! He barely got to wear this adorable little Janie and Jack cardigan sweater that had frogs on it because southern winters are so mild.

DISCOVERING LEAVES...AND TREES

Evan is in training to be a forester like his Daddy!

FUN AT DADDY'S FAVORITE STORE!

Yes, Eddie's favorite store is Bass Pro Shops, and although Mommy is not too crazy about this redneck paradise, she went with Daddy and Evan to the big store at Concord Mills Mall one day. It has a lot of pretty cool things like a very large saltwater fish tank, a boat shop (Mommy does want one of these one day), and the mall is pretty cool because it has outlet type stores but it is all indoors. So one Saturday, we drove over to Concord and actually had a good day!

Evan gets to play on Mommy & Daddy's dream boat!

Look at that little captain!

Photobucket
Evan definitely wanted one of these!

Mommy & Evan beg Daddy for some chocolate!

Photobucket
Yum, chocolate teddy bear on a stick! Oh yeah, he ate the whole thing!

PUMPKIN PATCH

One Sunday after church, we took Evan to a Pumpkin Patch to get a pumpkin and to go on a hayride and visit and feed some farm animals. He loved feeding the goats and sheep and "talking" to all the animals using the animal sounds he had learned! His cousins, Emma and Lanny, came along with their parents, Uncle Paul and Aunt Jessica. These kids always have a great time together!

Here are some pictures of this fabulous day:

Photobucket
Driving the tractor...he's so happy when he gets to drive! :-)

Photobucket
My friend pointed out that this picture was funny because it looks like Evan is "touching" the sun! What can I say, it is trick photography...yes, we are really that talented with the camera! Haha!

Photobucket
"Talk to the hand...I'm busy!"

Photobucket
Emma and Lanny ride the tractor too!

Photobucket
Emma finally finds her pumpkin! The little pumpkins were free with the purchase of a hayride. We didn't purchase big pumpkins this year, but maybe next year we will renew our pumpkin carving traditions!

Photobucket
Lanny finds a pumpkin too!

Mommy & Evan feed a sheep! These animals were very well-fed this day!

Another sweet picture with Mommy! I think we were watching the little piglets playing.

FALL FESTIVAL AT EVAN'S SCHOOL

Evan attends a sweet little full time childcare center, and the teachers are all so sweet and kind. Evan has been particularly attached to one of his teachers ever since he was in the infant room. He loves his Ms. Carol! In 2008, his school hosted a Fall Festival with games, food and fun for parents, children and other family and friends! Evan brought his Mommy, Daddy, Nana and Papa to meet his teachers and have some fun! Unfortunately, it had been a wet week so the playground area was still very wet. Evan did not seem to mind even though he ended up getting soaking wet!

Photobucket
Evan got his face painted...a little pumpkin for our little pumpkin!

Evan plays on the see-saw with his friend Jocelyn.

Photobucket
I don't know what he was pointing at here, but I just love his little serious face!

Peeking out of the playhouse!

Here is a series of Evan's cute facial expressions we caught:

GETTING READY FOR HALLOWEEN

We ordered Evan's pirate costume a while before Halloween to insure that it arrived on time. He soon found the pirate hat and sword and has been "in love" ever since. I really don't know how I will ever top this halloween costume. He looked so adorable!

Photobucket
Evan loves to wear his pirate hat!

Photobucket
Doesn't he look threatening with his big sword?
