Well, Summer fun continues as this post will demonstrate. Evan has developed a little "boy crush" on his next door neighbor, Zachary. He loves him so much and really looks up to him. Zachary is 7 and plays all sports known to man, but his favorite is baseball. Spring baseball season keeps him and his parents very busy, but during his free time, he will often come and ring our doorbell to see if Evan can come out and play. How sweet is that? He doesn't mind that Evan is quite a bit younger. I think he likes that Evan looks up to him like a big brother. Anyway, I had been meaning to catch some shots of these boys playing so Evan wouldn't forget his friend. Hopefully, they will remain friends for a long time, but since Zachary is older, I fear that he may not always have patience with a younger boy tagging around.
Here are some cute shots of Evan and Zachary playing cowboys and basketball:
Evan shoots...he scores! Wooooooo!
Zachary shoots.
Um, Zach, where's the challenge in that?
Cowboys Zach and Evan help Daddy put fish in the fish pond...to never be seen again apparently. Well, I guess it is a good thing that they aren't floating on the surface, right?
Cowboy Evan rides the "horsey." Zachary scares me a little on the swings! Isn't that how bones get broken?
Cutest cowboy in the world!
Zachary and Evan ridin' together.
Watching Zachary win his baseball game:
Zachary steps up to the plate.
The best picture I got of Zachary playing baseball and guess what he was doing! Boys!
Evan and Daddy watching the game.
Lining up to shake hands after the game. Zachary is lucky number 7. He was a little cocky after the big win!
Evan was ready to hit the pool after the game. Unfortunately for Zachary, he would have to play another round.
Evan being silly.
"Come on, Daddy, let's hit the pool!" His face looks so beautiful here!
The best way to end a fabulous Summer day:
Daddy teaching Evan to swim.
Just a beautiful father/son moment.
Evan swam by himself using this ring! I know it looks like he's doing an alien sign with his hand...haha!
Holding his nose...is he gonna put his face under?
Baby Reade jumps in the pool to his Daddy. He's not scared like his big brother and sister!
I love that Paul Frank shirt! I totally had one growing up...
