Easter 2012 was a little family affair with just the four of us. On Friday, Mommy and Daddy got to be off from work and just spent the whole day with their sweet little ones. We spent a lot of time outside playing in the yard and even cooked on the grill (Daddy made yummy teriyaki jerk steak skewers), and we ate outside. On Saturday morning, our neighborhood held a little Easter egg hunt for the kids so we joined the fun. Evan enjoyed hunting, but Brody just enjoyed sitting in the grass and playing with his eggs. He did enjoy meeting the Easter bunny though. He was looking very cute in big brother's old Easter outfit. After the hunt, we had to do our normal weekend errands and shopping. We attended church on Saturday night (we have decided that Saturday night service is better suited to our family's needs because Sundays just become so hectic trying to get everyone up and dressed in time for church). Church was wonderful, and both boys enjoyed going to their classes! We hope that will become a normal occurrence. After church, we had promised Evan a little treat at our favorite frozen yogurt store, Pinkberry. Yum! On Sunday morning, the boys came downstairs to find their treats from the Easter bunny, and then we all got dressed up in our pretty Easter clothes and went out to lunch and then to take some family Easter pictures. We just spent a wonderful weekend together as a family.

Evan insisted on taking this picture of us.
The Easter Egg Hunt
Brody looks like he found a lot of eggs.
Evan is ready to find some.
He's an old pro!
So proud of his finds.
Mommy tried to help Brody find some eggs, but he didn't want to walk.
He's going for one.
He preferred just sitting in the grass watching the action.
Evan loved the Easter bunny.
And Brody did too...he didn't want to let go!
Me and my boys with the Easter bunny!
Evan's Easter basket...I used beach buckets and shovels this year because we just had too many Easter baskets from previous years. He seemed very happy with his treats and new beach towel.
Brody's basket
Brody checks out his stash...at almost a year old, we thought he deserved his first peeps.
Evan was very happy about his chocolate bunnies!
Brody looked like he was going to whack somebody with that shovel if he didn't get his breakfast!
Brody's 1st Peep
Testing it out. He didn't seem too thrilled with the stickiness.
"What is this?"
"You want me to do what?"
"Oh, I'm supposed to eat it!"
"Yum! Not bad!"
