October is always a busy and fun month of school, sports, and festivities. The kids love it!
Grayson started the month with school rewards, and Maggie enjoyed this pink Breast Cancer month tree.
Miss Maggie and Mommy enjoy wearing our boots in the fall.
Daddy's girls
And Mommy's boys!
The kids always enjoy their school Fun Run.
Maggie loves her sweet girl pals.
Maggie's Cheer Team
Grayson runs like a champ.
He has some good buddies too.
Mommy is his biggest fan!
Mattox would prefer to walk the course and stop by the water station for frequent breaks, but he looks cool.
I love that boy!
Daddy always makes us laugh.
Go Mattox!
A little after school treat was needed after their fun and active day.
Maggie decided her baby needed to go with us. I love that she still plays like this.
Maggie had some fun birthday parties this month with her besties.
Our fun month took a little detour on Sunday when our oldest son was driving his younger brothers to church. We got that dreadful call and weren't too far behind him in route. We arrived to a scene no parent wants to see, but thankfully, they all were not too injured with just minor seatbelt burns and Evan feeling a little rough. He was still recovering from his summer concussions at the Naval Academy. Yes, his car was totaled by a young distracted driver who ran a red light. This little intersection seems to get these accidents frequently because I think drivers on the busier road forget there is a stoplight here right before the road goes over a major interstate. It is actually a little service road that parallels the interstate.
Mom and Dad were just so thankful our sons were safe.
All of the front and side airbags deployed because the other car hit our son's car on the front driver's side and then spun them around to hit them again in the back.
Mattox enjoys his special one-on-one time with many of his special teachers who love him.
Brody and I had a movie date. I think we went to see the sweet Angel Studios movie Truth and Treason about the teen boys who organized a resistance against the Nazis.
Another birthday party for Maggie with her old bestie.
My girl loves taking pictures when we get dressed up for church.
These kids were playing a Saturday morning chess game.
Mommy made her special pumpkin spice cake treat.
The boys devour it when it is still warm and fragrant.
Maggie and her dance friends enjoyed dressing in their Halloween costumes for dance class.
Mommy put out our little fall and Halloween decor.
I am not one of those who skips the fall decor and goes straight to Christmas. I love Christmas, but I do want to enjoy the fun season of Fall with its own special holiday traditions.
