Evan's Graduations!

So proud of this beautiful handsome young man!

1st Graduation - His first graduation honored our state's graduates entering the military. Evan will be entering the US Naval Academy and leaving for Annapolis at the end of June. He plans to major in their computer engineering program which is one of the best in the world. Mama is a little sad to be seeing my little boy about to fly the nest, but he will soar high and make this country and world a better place!

2nd Graduation - Church

We made it! Over 13 years seems to have gone by in a flash.  One more proud mama post! I can't say enough how proud I am to call this young man son. He stole my heart over 18 years ago and has been amazing me ever since with his brains, athletic abilities, and wisdom from someone so young. He has so much to offer to the world, and we look forward to having a front row seat to the show. Thank you to everyone who showed him love and support as he embarks on his next great adventure of life at the US Naval Academy and beyond! We love you to the moon and stars, Evan!

3rd Graduation - the kids' elementary school

This was such a special moment that had the kindergartners going into the "time machine" and coming out as seniors.  Our kindergartner, Maggie, went in at the same moment Evan came out on video.  It was so special!

Evan enjoyed celebrating with some of his besties and fellow athletic teammates.

4th Graduation - before the official larger graduation, the school host an academic graduation where awards and honors are recognized, and the Valedictorian gives his speech.

Evan was honored as a recipient of the prestigious full ride scholarship to the U.S. Naval Academy.  It was one of the first times two kids from the same school received such an honor.  Evan's friend, Justin, was honored and will be playing as a kicker on the USNA football team.

He was also an honor graduate. and recipient of the full ride SC Palmetto Scholars and other scholarships that would make his attendance at an in-state school free.

His school boasts a top-ranked academically gifted STEM magnet program (ranked by several notable publications in the top 25 and better) that produces students who go on to attend the top colleges in the nation every year.  It is a pretty amazing accomplishment for a public school in a southern state.

Captain Guy awarded the boys their Naval Academy certificates.

Our esteemed 2025 graduate

We left these up for months because we were so proud of our intelligent and athletic son.

Last Official Graduation - It was a rainy day and made getting any good photos outside impossible, and the crowds inside did not allow us to all get together after the ceremony until we could get back to our house later. By then, Evan's graduation attire needed drying out. I had to get his picture on the stage from the jumbotron.

Evan did get together with his friend outside the arena.

Evan's friend, Jacob, came to our family party.

His sweet Track coach has been a wonderful encouragement to him.

Maggie loved getting to spend time with his girl cousin, Libby.

I love my sweet nieces!
