March 3 - I can't let this special day pass without sharing our precious rainbow Mattox on his 10th birthday. Wow! A whole decade of loving this precious miracle baby. It seems like only yesterday that my doctor needed a catcher's mitt to catch that little peanut before he almost shot out onto the floor. Haha! He has been filling our lives and home with laughter since his first sweet giggles that actually erupted over potty humor...go figure. This kid is a riot as all his special teachers and friends know. He loves a practical joke as much as anyone and is very likely to leave a fake bug in your chair to watch you scream. We enjoyed celebrating our little man today visiting him at school, reading to his class, and then celebrating at home with cake and presents. More surprises await later this week. We love you to the moon and stars, Mattox! Enjoy some fun moments with Mattox lately like when he rode the bull and went to see Mufasa the movie. He has been a Lion King fan since he was one year old.

March 9 - Well I think my hard work was rewarded. I spent over 3 hours painting this rock for the kids on Saturday afternoon until after 8 pm. No one warns you how hard it is to paint such a rough uneven surface. Maybe the pros have airbrushing tools, but this was all by hand. My back was not happy with me. I loved surprising the kids with their special parts.

March 17th - I love reminders of our little St. Patrick's Day leprechauns through the years.

March 27 - How did we get here already? 18 years seems to have gone by in the blink of an eye. It seems like only yesterday, we were scared new parents of a tiny 6 lb. 4 oz baby boy who seemed so fragile but turned out to be so very strong. Those little legs were always so strong and always moving. We should have known then you would be a runner. As you grew, you amazed us with all your abilities from academic to athletic to brotherly superhero powers. You are so caring and loving and often hold so many emotions inside so as not to cause anyone else any worry. We have always wanted to protect you as you showed us you could handle any challenge from moving multiple times and changing schools and making new friends everywhere you went while keeping up the highest academic standards and athletic pursuits. You guard your heart, but you also love completely. We see this love most for your baby sister who also adores you. She is our "insurance" that you will always come back home. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see all you will accomplish as you enter adulthood. May you always stay faithful to God and allow him to direct your path. We loved celebrating you today with Popsicles with your track team and dinner and cake and cards that we all wrote to show you our heartfelt love and admiration!
