Ranger Mattox's 7th Birthday

Mattox has developed a new love of Power Rangers shows on Netflix so he wanted a Power Rangers birthday.  We did our best to make our boy's dream come true.  This year has brought some big changes for Mattox as he finally has his new hearing aid and has already started making big progress in school.  His confidence has already gotten better too.  He is just such a special and sweet boy, and we will keep fighting to get him what he needs for success.  His adorable sense of humor is always making us smile and laugh.  We are just so thankful for this precious rainbow baby!

The first cake was for our little family party on his actual birthday.

Some special Power Rangers balloons and decorations.

Oh I love that smile!

He loves his little sister.

But we had to get some pictures of just him.

Singing Happy Birthday.

Happy boy with his family.

Cake time!

Daddy enjoyed his cake.

And Maggie did too.

Cheese!!!

Just the girls.

Best friend Grayson will always be beside his big brother.

Oh these two and their special friendship.  Grayson was just as excited to see the presents. He knows they share everything.  Haha!

Oops, Grayson was upset because Mattox gets to do the opening.

A cool Power Rangers mask.

And sword.

Our red Power Ranger.

Maggie claims the pink Power Ranger.

And Grayson claims the blue one.

Mattox had a special friend come to the party who is also in first grade at his school and wears a BAHA on the same ear as Mattox.  They have become such good buddies.  His friend's little sister was a fun friend for Maggie too.  His friend's mom is so amazing and teaches a special needs class at their school.  We feel very blessed that her class got moved to their school this year!

His friend couldn't wait for Mattox to open his present because it had...Hex Bugs.  Mattox loves toy bugs and playing tricks on people with them.  He puts them in one of his favorite teacher's chair sometimes when he gets a new one from the treasure box and comes home to "surprise" me with them.

He got lots of goodies from his friend.

Miss Maggie was interested in the jar of slime.  Yikes!

Our neighbor friend came for a few minutes in between a busy day of extracurricular activities.

Playing with the crazy Hex bugs.

Enjoying some birthday cupcakes.

Mattox's new trick of plugging his ears and saying "I still hear you."  His BAHA gives him this "super power."  Haha!

Singing Happy Birthday.

Maggie loves sweets!

Some crazy fun on the trampoline.

I guess it got too crazy for Brody.

Miss Maggie and her new friend.  Pretty girls!

And these cool Power Rangers.

Happy Birthday, Mattox!  7 years has gone so fast, and we can't wait to see how you grow and excel in the next 7 years.  We love you to the moon and back to infinity and beyond!

What I'm Lovin' February {2022}

Our February was full of love and happy memories.  We were loving:

Little silly girls wearing a teddy bear's sweater on her head.

Listening to big boys reading a classic...Treasure Island.

These Valentine babies!

Keeping up one tree and decorating it for Valentine's with some hearts.

Watching these silly boys trying to do flips.

Little girls who love their daddy.

Little girls who love to eat Japanese food.

Just like big brother Evan.  It's his favorite.

Silly little guys who are always making us laugh.

Sweet handsome big boys.

Little girls who ride their horse in the bathtub.

Early school release days and eating lunch with these crazy kiddos.

Glow balls from the Dollar Store for a fun treat.

Happy Kids!

Finding kids hiding in a closet with their glow balls.

Father Daughter lunch dates.

Girls who enjoy their food and cheesing for the camera.

Family date nights at Chick-fil-a.

Sunday lunch at his favorite place...Texas Roadhouse.

Our Valentine girl.  She was supposed to be born on Valentine's.

A table decorated with love, flowers, and heart balloons.

This smile!

Little girls enjoying their favorite school Valentine...a unicorn with rainbow hair to brush.

Mr. Grayson was enjoying his bubble Valentine.

Glow in the dark heart glasses from his teacher.

These special cuties.

Little girls trying to blow bubbles and wearing heart glasses.

Family Valentine treats to share.

Brody enjoying his chocolate covered strawberry.

Daddy enjoying his chocolate covered strawberry too.

Mattox was excited to try his.

Grayson thought the chocolate part was good. I think he just wanted to eat the chocolate off and leave the strawberry.

Miss Maggie enjoying her favorite...chocolate chip cookies.

Finally getting rid of this gross brown toilet room for a softer and lighter blush pink!

The bright yellow walls are also gone.  While the realtor photos may not look that bad because of how much they were edited and lightened, this color was pretty horrid too.  The pale pink is like a breathe of fresh air and just feels so light and clean in real life.

Kiddos playing in a shipping box with bubble wrap.

Finally getting a long awaited professional hair cut and color to tie in my natural root color that is like a caramel blond with the lighter blond that I dyed last year.

I think it worked although I do think we could have done a few more low lights.

The kids loved this statue at our Mexican restaurant.

Sunday lunch at a yummy southern style restaurant with these cuties.

And these handsome dudes.

And this beautiful baby boy.

Hanging out in Dick's Sporting Goods while Daddy gets some new tires.  Miss Maggie wanted to be a weight lifter.

Strong girls!

And this strong man.

Kids who love playing on the escalator while waiting for the mall to open.  It was pretty early as Mr. Mattox had a special audiology appointment in Charlotte.

Little boys finally getting their new and improved hearing aids.  Yay!

The kids got to play in this play area in a mall where we used to hang out a lot when Evan and Brody were babies and toddlers.

Car driving.

Future race car drivers...NOT!

Little girls in their hot rods.

Big brothers winning their younger siblings some rubber duckies.

Big brother giving his sister a pink duck.

Little girls who love Mexican food.  It's her favorite!

New fancy chandeliers in the bedroom.

A newly stained front door to look like wood.

The start of my low carb journey with this yummy beef and cheesy broccoli bowl.  Pretty good!

This month really summarizes that the little things really are the good things!
