Evan's 6th Month ~ Taste Testing!

For Evan's 6th month, we had lots of fun trying new things, including some baby food! He could never tolerate infant cereals and who even wants to for that matter! That stuff smells awful! :o) But seriously, I am not just talking a little spit up here! He would eat one little spoonful of rice or oat cereal or one little cheerio and as soon as any of mommy's good milk hit his stomach, the entire contents of that little stomach would come up! He would continue to throw up for about 2 hours! It was not pleasant so we did everything we could to avoid rice and oats. That is surprisingly harder than it seems because almost every early baby food has "rice flour" in it! My nephew, Lanny, had the same trouble so his mommy appreciates what we went through here! So to get something into Evan that wouldn't "harm" him, we gave him some all natural, wholesome baby foods. We tried carrots and peas first, but he didn't seem to care very much about them. Now sweet potatoes were definitely a hit!

Here are some pictures of Evan's eating adventures:

6 Month Portraits

We took Evan to Aunt Jessica's favorite Charlotte portrait studio, The Portrait Gallery, because we knew that this guy did amazing work! We were definitely not disappointed although the prices are high! He is definitely worth every penny! He uses beautiful natural lighting instead of those big bright studio lights that just wash you out (especially if you are already pale like me)!
