Well, here is the big birthday post! We call the party a success with over 40 party guests in attendance. We decided to invite Evan's school friends this year and bravely hosted the party in our home. Pretty much the whole weekend was a big birthday celebration. On Friday, Mommy and Daddy took cupcakes and cheetos to Evan's school for a class party. His classmates were very appreciative! Then on Saturday, we gave him his sandbox to play in while we worked on getting the house ready for the party. Mommy had last minute errands to run at the party store and at the grocery store. She prepared some tasty dinosaur treats for the little dinosaurs (dinosaur chicken nuggets, dinosaur sandwiches, and dinosaur fruits and veggies for the herbivores). She also picked up the cutest dinosaur cake! Daddy spent the day helping clean the house, working in the yard, and picking up the tables and chairs. We set up for the party indoors with expectations of rain. Sunday was pretty cool and did produce some nasty storms all around our neighborhood, but the weather held out for us. The kids got to play in the yard with Evan's new playset. All in all, it was a great weekend!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our precious baby boy!
Well, a birthday post is definitely a must for the most important person in our lives! He just amazes us everyday. Upon waking this morning, Evan joined Mommy and Daddy in their bed for some cuddle time. Mommy was feeling sentimental about how grown up her baby boy was acting and needed to be reminded of that wonderful day just 3 years ago when her little baby first entered the world! She watched the following movie and was overcome with emotion as she held her "baby" in her arms. We hope you enjoy the movie which was the start of many wonderful memories!
The birthday party is on for tomorrow and pictures will be posted soon!

Our California Trip
Well, I had a little trouble narrowing down the pictures from our trip to California. We saw and did so many special things on this trip so just a few pictures would not do. On this trip, we enjoyed visiting with Evan's Great-Grandma (Sherry's Grandma) for her 85th birthday, and we also saw Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley, San Francisco, and Muir Woods. We did all the typical "touristy" stuff and enjoyed capturing all of these wonderful memories for Evan to remember!

Evan loved helping Grandma open presents. |
He was so attached to her the whole week. |
It was love at first sight. |
And he had fun with Aunt Lorraine too. |
We had a big party for the birthday girl. |
Papa got to see his favorite niece, Terri! |
Yes, there was still a lot of snow on the ground, but it was surprisingly very warm as we hiked to the grove of Giant Sequoias. |
Mommy and Evan checking out the big trees. |
So tall. |
This is how Evan hiked. When he got tired of walking, he would just say "It's shoulder time, Daddy!" |
Daddy and Evan and a big Ponderosa pine. |
We made it! It was a couple of miles in this deep packed snow. |
Looking up at the tall trees. |
Mommy and Evan and a big redwood. |
Evan was so silly. We just love that kid! |
A forest fire had recently done some damage in the valley. |
El Capitan and Half Dome were still covered in snow. |
It was such a majestic view. |
Papa enjoyed the trip too. |
Yosemite Falls was really flowing. |
Evan loved this little bear rocker in the gift shop. |
The majestic view from Yosemite Valley. |

We were glad Papa joined us. |

I think this is one of the coolest pictures I've ever seen. My hubby really has talent with a camera and was able to capture our signature wine glass with the grape vines showing through it. |
Can you tell Evan was happy here? |
Playing peek-a-boo with Daddy. |
Hiya! |
One of my favorite pictures of Evan ever. |
Mommy and Daddy enjoyed tasting some champagne while Evan helped us eat the chocolate off our strawberries. |
Yum! My fav! |
He was trying so hard to be brave to pose for a picture in this tree. |
And a tired little boy on the way back to the hotel. |
