34 Weeks

Taken Sunday, May 12, 2013 on Mother's Day and the day after Mommy's graduation

As you can see from this picture, this was a busy week in our lives.  I thought it only appropriate that this should be the pregnancy picture for this week despite the fact that the robe was not flattering at all.  With just six weeks to go before Mattie's due date, Mommy is glad to have school behind her so that she can concentrate on getting ready for baby.  Baby weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is about 18 inches long.  She has been putting on the pounds and filling out so that she looks more and more like a healthy baby with soft smooth skin.

Weight Gain:  About 20 pounds now.

Maternity Clothes:  Oh yes!  Dresses and skirts are still the most comfortable.  I am so glad Spring is here because the maternity clothes are a lot cuter and more comfortable in warmer weather.

Sleep: Rough because of pretty intense back and hip pain.  I wake up every few hours to change sides.  Turning sometimes leads to severe leg cramping which is only alleviated by standing and walking.

Best Moment of this Week:  Graduation from law school classes, ordering some of the special items for Mattie, receiving a cute new car seat cover and shopping cart cover, and getting the best hugs and kisses from my little men as I get home earlier at night.

Movement:
Definitely less big movements although she still moves plenty.  She shifts around I guess to get more comfortable as her environment gets a lot more snug.

Food Cravings:  Nothing really although some ice cream or Pinkberry frozen yogurt sounds pretty good right now.

Food Aversions:  Nothing really.

What I Miss:  Energy!.

Gender:  Sweet baby girl to join a house full of boys!

Symptoms: Heartburn, back and hip pain, leg cramps, and some Braxton Hicks contractions are the primary symptoms.

What I'm looking forward to:  Getting more baby stuff in the mail, getting some other special projects completed for baby, and starting to put Baby Mattie's nursery together.

  4. You should frame that picture and put it in her room. What an awesome reminder to your daughter (and you boys too) of the importance of education and your fierce determination.
