Last Soccer Games and Medals

Evan is so sad that he played his last soccer game last weekend.  He was pretty excited to receive his soccer medal this Saturday though.  Since several parents and a player were not able to be at the last game, we planned a little end of season celebration for the team this Saturday at one of our favorite local pizza places.  The kids loved getting together again, and it was a bit sad, but we hope to see most of the kids again as we continue in our sports endeavors.  Evan was so sad about not playing soccer that Eddie signed him up for a winter indoor soccer program and one of his soccer team buddies will hopefully be joining him.  It was a great season for all these boys, and we wish them all future success!

Gotta have that tongue out to score a goal...it is a necessity!

Look at that jump kick as the ball goes in!

Wow, that is a determined face!

Ha!  This is him keeping score.  He became so competitive this year.  When did that happen?

Evan shows off his cool medal.

For our special gift to the players, Eddie (the team photographer) wanted to give them each a special picture to commemorate their accomplishments on the team.  I created these collages which we had printed for each of them.  I figure they would look cool in shadow box frames with their medals or something.

  3. Eddie is an EXCELLENT photographer! He got some awesome action shots! Those collages are so cute! I'm sure the parents really appreciated them.

P.S. I love the name Olin and it was actually one of my top choices but we decided it sounded too close to my nephew Owen's name. I have never seen another child with that name!

    1. Yeah, it is a pretty unique name. He and Evan are great pals and we are actually hoping to get them in the same school next year. Meck Co had some great magnet schools that are filled by a lottery system. One of them is a language school that we have heard so many great things about. We tried for two other schools this year and got into neither but the language academy seems like a more sure thing and is in a new school that was built to be a high school with lots of technology. Fingers crossed! :-)
