Evan's 9th month ~ First Christmas!

Photobucket
Evan ~ 9 months old
(Mommy loved this cardigan sweater...another great one from Janie and Jack!)

Photobucket
This was one of the first times Evan paid any attention or loved on his teddy bear!

In our little apartment, we didn't have a lot of storage space so we had to keep our's and Evan's movies on a shelf on the bookcase, and as soon as Evan started pulling himself up, he headed straight for the movies! He loved pulling them all down onto the floor and making a big mess!

Evan the choo-choo train conductor!

Photobucket
Evan drives his "silver bullet"! Fastest thing on four wheels that runs on quarters!  Evan rides his first little quarter ride at the mall after having his picture taken with Santa! We're not sure if he liked it, but he definitely knew to hold on to the steering wheel!

Such a sweet face!

The only thing better than chewing on your own toys is chewing on someone else's toys! Evan loved Lanny's toys!

Evan's 1st Christmas

Mommy sat up a little Christmas photo shoot to take some pictures of Evan in his cute little Christmas suit! It was an adorable little red and white "houndstooth" one piece outfit with a little button-on applique of a truck with a Christmas tree in it. The button-on applique could be removed and replaced with a little white polar bear so the outfit could be used after Christmas.

Here are some of the pictures I got at this photo session:

Oh yeah, he's crawling and even pulling up and cruising! Great news for the Christmas tree!

Of course, Evan met Santa!

Since we lived in Charlotte and were so close to the mountains, we took a trip up to the Appalachians to find our Christmas tree! It was a very memorable experience although it was a little cold!

We'll Be Home for Christmas!

For Evan's very first Christmas, we wanted to start a tradition of spending Christmas together as a family and spending Christmas with both Mommy's and Daddy's families too! We planned to have our little Christmas at home before we left to share Christmas with our families. We had a nice little Christmas and let Evan open his presents from "Santa." Although in the future, we planned to stay at home on Christmas Eve so that Evan could experience Christmas morning in his own house, we did plan to make an exception this year. Since Sherry's Granny had recently passed away, her Mom's family wanted to get together one last time at her Granny's house on Christmas Eve. We wanted to share this special memory with the family so we headed to Goldsboro, NC on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, Uncle Paul, Aunt Jessica, Emma & Lanny met us at Nana and Papa's house to share a Christmas meal and open presents together. The kids always have a great time together, and the highlight of this year was that both boys got a ball popper. That was a big hit for about 20 or 30 minutes! Evan just liked chewing on the balls. On Christmas morning, we got up and shared Christmas breakfast with Nana and Papa before heading to Rockingham for Christmas lunch with Eddie's family. Grandma gave Evan his favorite Christmas present...a rocking lion! We decided to get him a lion instead of a horse since his room was decorated in safari animals.

Enjoy the pictures:
