Celebrating the 4th of July {2022}

Oh July, we do love all the fun we have with you enjoying our summer break from school, celebrating Independence Day, swimming in the pool, spending days at the lake, and playing at the splash park.  This July was no exception.  Here are our favorite memories of celebrating the Independence Day weekend:

\
Wearing our red, white and blue.

Just my handsome American boys.

And the American girls too.

Playing some games while we waited for a huge storm to pass so we could go to a ball game.

Take them out to the ball game...

Take them out to the crowd...

Buy us some peanuts and cracker jack...

We don't care if we ever get back...

'Cause it's root root root for the home team...

If they don't win, it's a shame (a rainbow over the field should be good luck)...

And it's 1...

2...

3 strikes, you're out!

At the ol' ball game!

Papa really loved going to the ball game!

So did these crazy boys.

Or maybe he just liked the glow sticks.

This girl definitely liked her glowing jewelry.

It was a long, hot, humid July night.

And this boy was give out.

But we loved the after midnight fireworks.  Yikes!

These boys had a nice view of the fireworks.

And these kids stayed awake to watch from the parking lot.

We enjoyed a day at the lake.

A little picnic and swimming in the lake is a good day.

Maggie is ready to swim.

I just love that little ponytail!

Cooling her feet off.

The old couple watching the kids play.

Playing on the little beach.

Swimming

I love Brody's summer freckles.  He found something interesting.

A snail shell maybe?

A fun day at the lake.

Daddy and his girl

Little American cutie

The sun is setting.

Maggie's summer curls are the best.  Water and humidity look good on her.

And some evening fireworks over the lake.
