What I'm Lovin' December {2021}

December is one of the most fun and also seemingly the shortest month of the year.  We pack so much in and stay so busy that it just goes too fast.  I think we made the best of December 2021.  I'm loving:

Dogs who love laying by the Christmas tree.

Santas who ride on fire trucks to see the children.

Little girls who love seeing Christmas trees and decorations everywhere she goes and who tries to open every present she sees!

Elves who bring Christmas treats from the North Pole.

Cute little girls who find the elf and want to take a picture with him.

Christmas light glow at night.

Little boys who bravely ride the reindeer donkey.

And big brothers who don't want to hurt the little donkey reindeer so they just pet them.

Santas who visit school to see the children.

Little boys who want fart guns for Christmas!

The cutest little reindeer.

Little town parks decorated for Christmas (but not rained out Christmas parades!).

Older children who can take their parents' picture.

Four monkeys in a tree.

Taking our own Christmas card pics.

The outtakes are often better than the "perfect" one on the card.  I loved Mattox's face here.

Then, Mattox decided to do a pout face to "ruin" our pictures.  Little did he know he just made them better.  Haha!

Kids who love their daddy.

Silly daddies!

My babies!

My "bookends!"  These two may be 12 years apart, but they are "twins."  They look and act so much alike and have a very special bond!

Again, this big brother and his beloved little sister.  Heart melted!

Our new tradition of visiting the state capital Christmas tree.

A rare shot of the two of us...with a little girl hiding behind us.

This handsome teenager.

My handsome sweetheart!

My adorable crew.

Some hot chocolate or peppermint mocha coffee while sitting by the Christmas tree.

My attempt at a Christmas manicure.  I tried to make candy cane stripes with my Color Street strips.

Boys who love shopping for gifts at school and giving them to their family.  Giving is just as fun as receiving!  Evan and Brody received very cute and useful gifts from Mattox.  These cute squishy characters are multipurpose tools to relieve stress, clean your phone screen, and hold your phone.

Daddy got a back scratcher.

Brody was most excited to give Cocoa a gift.

We got to visit our favorite Santa again!  Santa Max is the best.  We had not seen him since 2014 when we moved away from Charlotte.

The kids loved him!

All of our Santa Max pictures through the years since Evan's first Christmas.

Adorable little candy cane girls.

And cute little boys who pose for pictures.

Christmas dinner dates with friends.

Train rides to see Christmas lights.

Sweet Christmas lights in my first hometown's park.

Little girls who wave at the lights.

Cool beach themed Christmas lights.

Sweet little elves.

Cute carousel riders.

Happy little girls on the carousel.  No fear here!

Big brothers who find a swing seat to himself.

10 year olds who still ride.

Beautiful and magical double decker carousels.

Little girls who enjoy watching singing bears.  I am pretty sure I saw these singing bears at the mall as a child.

Little girls whose favorite word is "ice cream."

Little boys who suddenly love their two year old Catboy and take him everywhere!

Dad and son hunting trip.

Little girls coloring a beautiful picture for their big sister.

She really has a well-developed coloring and drawing ability.

Big brothers who help her put her picture in big sister's stocking.

Boys who eat the center out of their pizza and then arrange the crust back into a perfect circle like an alien ate it.  Instead of crop circles, our aliens make pizza circles.  Haha!

Little boys who help decorate cookies and little sisters who love to annoy them.

Cookie decorators.

Sprinkle eaters!

Lots and lots of homemade goodies like peppermint oreo truffles.

Future engineers designing a gingerbread house.  I use gingerbread loosely here since we just use graham crackers for ours.  We never actually eat it anyway.  Haha!

Kitchen helpers making a birthday cake for Jesus.

Gingerbread house decorators.

Christmas Eve service!  We enjoyed drinking hot cocoa and hot apple cider, singing special Christmas songs, and taking communion to celebrate Jesus.
