Happy 5th Birthday, Mattie Claire!

5 years!!!  How has it been 5 years since we held you for the first and last time and had to let you go?  At 5 years old, you would be starting kindergarten soon, learning to read, talking up a storm, and just really showing us how wild and crazy life can be with a little girl.  We really miss you a lot here.  We love your brothers so much, but we always know you are missing from our little family.  You will never be forgotten.  

This year, Daddy made you a yummy homemade pound cake for your birthday.  We added fresh strawberries and whipped cream for a yummy strawberry shortcake.  

We lit your candle and sang you "Happy Birthday."  A church friend brought us a beautiful delicate pink primrose azalea plant.  

Your big brothers and cousin made wishes for you and blew out your candle.

We took you with us to the beach for your birthday.  You would have so much fun playing at the beach with your brothers.
