Our Disney Trip 2017: Our Younglings Become Jedi

Definitely the highlight of our day at Hollywood Studios was our boys getting to do their training to become Jedi at the Jedi Temple.   Disney really makes this a dream come true for any young Star Wars fans.  Disney photographers are on hand to take tons of pictures for you to remember the occasion as well.  Evan has been wanting to get back to Disney to do this since he missed it on our last trip five years ago, and I am glad he and Brody could do it together this time.  If you have Star Wars obsessed boys like I do, I highly recommend a visit to this park.  Get there before the park opens to sign up for your time at the Jedi Training Academy.

Little Padawan Brody is ready for Jedi training.

The force is definitely strong with our big Padawan Evan.

Brody was a proud Padawan on his way to the Jedi Temple.

We arrived.  Um, why is there an Empire AT-AT Walker present?  Yikes!

Our Jedi Master begins the training with a pep talk to the new recruits.

Then, he begins the important lesson in the use of their light sabers.
He walked around inspecting the troops.

He was an expert with the light saber.

Our younglings became skilled in the art of weilding a light saber.
Preparing to protect the galaxy from evil.

Evan is highly skilled in his training to suppress emotion.  He will go far as a Jedi.  Master Yoda would be proud.

As the Jedi Master and his Padawan helpers were saying goodbye to the recruits, an unexpected guest arrived.  Oh my!  Darth Vader attacked our Master with the force.
Then his grandson and new Sith Kylo Ren showed up.  The boys tried to repel him with the force.
Darth Vader and Kylo Ren were quite a formidable force together although I am sure some little younglings wondered how they could be together and how Darth Vader could still be alive.

Darth Vader attempted to turn the younglings to the dark side.
Padawan Evan was ready to do battle to protect the Jedi Temple and the other younglings.
He possessed great skill and moved with speed and agility.  Kylo Ren was no match for this youngling.

Evan soon got his chance to battle the evil Kylo Ren.  He performed with expert level skills.

Padawan Evan was successful at stopping Kylo Ren's advances.

Padawan Brody was also skilled in the use of a light saber.

He trained hard.

Our younglings watched with resolute faces as Kylo Ren threatened their Jedi trainer.
These younglings watch the evil Darth Vader and Kylo Ren attack their beloved Master.

After Kylo Ren attacked our Jedi Master, it was Padawan Brody's chance to defeat him.

 He fought swiftly and bravely.
He ducked Kylo Ren's light saber and blocked his attacks.

His skills were successful at blocking Kylo Ren's attacks, and the whole troop used the force to make him leave the Temple.
The Jedi Master's young apprentice takes one last stand against the evil Kylo Ren and Darth Vader, and the whole troop of younglings help him use the force to propel them out of the Temple.

Yes, they are victorious, and the Jedi Temple is safe once again!

They proudly receive their badges of honor for completing their training and defending the Temple.

Later, we watched some of the galactic battles between the Empire and the Rebels.  Young Rey even makes an appearance.

Later, new Jedi Padawan Evan got to meet Kylo Ren on his starship in an effort to peacefully negotiate a truce.

The very lovable Chewbacca accompanied them for support.

Chewbacca and the boys made quite a team.  Evan even accompanied him to Endor on a special mission.

Evan loved riding these speeder bikes.

And Brody did too.
It was a great day!  May the force be with you!

  1. Oh my goodness! This looks like SO MUCH fun! I had no idea this was even a possibility. Except rather than Sam doing it, as he doesn't know much about Star Wars, I know this would be Dave's dream come true!
