Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a day to celebrate all of the great women that have cared for us, nurtured us, and given us the love that well only a mother could give.  Sherry is that special woman to our kids.  Sherry is more and does more for us than you could realize.  She works hard for our family.  She loves us deeply and unconditionally even when we get on her last nerve.  She helps direct us on the right path even when we might not think it is the right path at the time.  Sherry is a special mom and one that our kids are blessed to have.  Last Mother's Day we thought we would be celebrating with our family of five together on earth.  God had a different plan for us and for our angel Mattie. This Mother's Day I find myself being thankful for Sherry and also thinking about how our beautiful Mattie would have been a great mother too.  She had Sherry to be such a great role model and let's face it, we usually copy what we see.  We love like we are loved, we give like we have been given to, we understand like those who took the time to sit, listen, and understand us.  Our Mattie would have turned out to be such a beautiful, special, temperamental at times, smart, courageous, loving, caring, faithful, spiritual woman.  How do I know that?  I know that because those all describe her mother, Sherry.  This Mother's Day, as we give cards, take our mothers/wives to lunch, give them gifts or simple tokens of our appreciation, let's take time to give our moms/wives what they want most of all, our love.  Sherry, I love you.  I love what you do for our kids and for me.  I love how your strength and courage shows everyday just how special you are.   HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
