Evan's 5th Birthday Party!

This party was really all about Evan.  He chose the theme.  He chose the location.  He heard Mommy and Daddy talking about what to do for his birthday party, and he said "How about cowboys?"  And then, he heard us discussing possible locations.  "How about bowling?"  What can we say?  The kid knows what he wants.  Mommy set to work to plan a cute cowboy themed bowling party for him.  He was so excited to invite all of his new friends from school, and he had such a great time that he said, "That was the best birthday party ever!" Yep, that's all the thanks I need to hear!

Cowboy brothers are ready for the party!

Mommy set the table for about 20 kids.  The bowling alley was wonderful and supplied us with all the party supplies, but Mommy knew her little man had to have his cowboy theme.

Can't have a party without balloons!

Photobucket
Mommy also made some special cowboy treats for the little trail blazers.

Photobucket
Cowboy cupcakes.  Yes, Mommy made the toppers too.

Photobucket
Evan and his old pal, Bryant, enjoyed getting together again.

Three of Evan's favorite girls, Ashlee, Julia, and Scarlet.

Evan bowled the whole game in his cowboy hat.  We thought it was actually neat that he got the highest score (90) at his birthday party and just attributed it to the fact that he was having such a good time.

Photobucket
He was pretty excited!

Photobucket
Cousins Lanny and Reade love to bowl too.

Photobucket
Reade was proud of his turn.

Photobucket
We were quite a spectacle!

Photobucket
Evan's special "friend" Ashlee loved bowling with her daddy.

Bryant is ready for his turn.

Photobucket
Looks like a good shot.

Photobucket
Cole, a friend from t-ball and soccer.

Photobucket
Evan and the other kids played a whole game and were very good at waiting their turns.

The delicate girls decided to use the ball roller.

Cole bowling like a pro.

Photobucket
What a fun group!  Evan likes playing with Julia almost as much as her twin brother, Jack.

Photobucket
Our little neighbor, Levi, gets a turn.

Photobucket
Levi wanted to be a cowboy too.

Handsome cousin Lanny.

Grandparents watching the game.

Time for pizza!

Photobucket
School pal, Daniel, really likes pizza.

Photobucket
And Levi gives the best "cheese" smile ever!

Photobucket
Sweet Porter loves pizza too.

Photobucket
Crazy kids.  The boys and the girls were taking turns "annoying" each other.

Photobucket
Apparently, Evan and his friend Ashlee have a special relationship.  She told her Mommy not long after school started this year that they were in love.  At the party, she told Evan, "See Evan, we both like cheese pizza" like she was telling him about how much they had in common.  Young love...sigh!

My cowboy

Making a wish and blowing out his candles.

Photobucket
And eating a yummy cupcake.

Photobucket
Evan's cousins insisted he had to open his presents before leaving the bowling alley.

Photobucket
Is it Christmas?

Photobucket
He got a cool bug catching lazer gun that he couldn't wait to use.

Photobucket
Opening up his presents from Grandma and Aunt Naomi....new cowboy guns he asked for because his old ones broke.
