Oh and there isn't actually a statewide burning ban, per se! My husband tried to correct them for this story, but they didn't listen. The governor just issued a statement requesting that people not burn right now. It is always illegal to burn in Mecklenburg County though and can result in a big Air Quality violation! :-)
