O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!

So on Black Friday instead of fighting the crowds at the malls, we headed to our favorite Christmas tree farm with Evan to fulfill one of our family traditions. With a forester for a husband, I will never be allowed to get one of those nice, convenient, pre-lit, artificial trees! He is so picky about the tree that we get. It has to be perfect! And you thought I was OCD! Haha! But really, I probably couldn't be satisfied with an artificial tree anyway. It just feels more like Christmas when your house smells of pine and you are constantly vacuuming up pine needles, right?

Evan had a really fun time at the Christmas tree farm this year. Of course, he found some tractors...they have really become a kind of obsession (along with his obsession for soccer balls, football, the Panthers, school buses, "Wow Wow Wubbzy," and many more random things)!

Here are some pictures from our adventures in tree shopping:

Climbing fences...he's 100% boy for sure!

Had to give Mommy some sweet Christmas love!

I love this snapshot of him walking through the trees!

He just couldn't get that hat on straight!

He found a John Deere. Too bad they were using this one so he couldn't "drive" it!

He'll settle for the ol' red one!

Our big beautiful tree!

A birds eye view! At about 9 feet tall, it stands the tallest of any of our trees so far!

Well, since Evan told everyone at his school that he was going to have a little Christmas tree in his room, we had to go get him one! Eddie bought him a little 3 ft. tree (just his size) with colored lights on it for $15, and we proceeded to decorate it with a few ornaments Evan had made. We have since added some dinosaurs to the tree since that has become another obsession for Evan!

So cute. At least it is a step above a Charlie Brown tree!
