Christmas 2008 ~ Evan's 2nd Christmas

Was Evan's 2nd Christmas as much fun as the 1st? Absolutely! He was so cute his first Christmas, but of course, he was more aware of what was going on his second Christmas. We enjoyed showing him everything and continuing to make Christmas traditions for him. Eddie and I also enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit this year by going to see the Nutcracker ballet and can't wait until Evan is old enough to go with us!

THE LIGHTING OF THE GREAT TREE CELEBRATION

We decided to take Evan to see a little Charlotte Christmas tradition this year at South Park Mall. There is a large amphitheater set up near the mall where various concerts and events are held throughout the year. At Christmas, a large tree is lit up with lights and a huge Christmas concert takes place. Of course, Santa makes an appearance, and there are even some Christmas fireworks! We ate dinner before going to the celebration and only arrived a few minutes before the tree was lit, but it was a nice tradition and put us all in the Christmas spirit. It was actually rainy and a little cold that night too!

CHRISTMAS MORNING

So we started our tradition of waking up at home on Christmas morning, and it was wonderful! Evan got to see all the presents "Santa" had brought him under his tree and in his stocking! After opening the presents at home, we packed up the car and headed to Grandma's!
