First Trick or Treat ~ 2008

So although this was not Evan's first Halloween, it was his first real "trick or treat" experience. He could actually beg door-to-door for some candy, and Mommy and Daddy actually let him eat a little! Many Christians do not feel that dressing up for Halloween and going door-to-door begging for tricks or treats from your neighbors is appropriate, but I believe it is a great tradition to share with my child. So on this day, we remember our Savior, but we enjoy sharing a very fun experience. I decided to make Evan a cute little pirate even before I knew that his Aunt Jessica was dressing her kids as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. How perfect...he could be Captain Hook! But really, I found the cutest pirate suit and even got him a cool pirate sword and hat. I do really believe I will have a hard time outdoing this year, but I figure I only have a few years to dress him in what I want him to wear. I'm sure I'll be buying superhero, cartoon character or comic book hero costumes soon!

Halloween was on Friday night this year so Mommy got off work early. Daddy and Evan picked Mommy up from work to start the festivities. While waiting for Mommy, Daddy took Evan to a little park area and geese pond across the road from Mommy's office building and in the center of uptown Charlotte. He took some great pictures of Evan trying to play with the geese and walking in our beautiful city!
