In January 2004, Eddie and I planned to make our first trip to New York City primarily to see the Broadway show "
The Producers" for a special limited showing in which Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick were coming back to perform their award winning roles as Producer Max Bialystock and CPA Leo Bloom. In order to get our tickets, we had to buy a package through one of the more prestigious hotels in the city. The show was so funny and definitely worth our trip, but we also enjoyed sight-seeing and enjoying the New York experience as well. Of course, that January was one of the coldest on record and a large snow storm had just hit the city, but we didn't mind the cold since it made the city less busy and easier to get around in.
Here are some pictures from our adventures in the City:
A beautiful view of the Empire State Building.
Eddie had fun playing in the snow in Central Park.
Sherry had fun in the snow too.
We enjoyed the view from the top of the Empire State Building, but it was so cold.
Look closely here; New York Harbor and the Hudson River were frozen!
The Statue of Liberty looked beautiful in the snow.
