Evan's 1st T-ball Game

Saturday, March 26th Evan's 1st T-ball game was scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.  He was pretty excited, but Mommy and Daddy were more so.  He arrived at 9:30 a.m. to get into his new uniform.  Mommy loved that he was wearing Carolina blue!  The weather was pretty miserable, but the rain had not started yet.  The Coach gave the team a pep talk in the dugout, and the team lined up to bat first.  The rain held off long enough for both teams' players to all get a chance to hit, but it was so cold and miserable.  That is always par for the course on Evan's birthday weekend though.

Spring Pictures

Evan got all dressed up one day this week for his school pictures, and I just thought he looked so handsome and grown up.  My baby isn't a baby anymore.  *Sad face*  We just couldn't ask for a sweeter or cooler son!  Daddy took these shots before they left for school.

Evan, what does your garden grow?

Evan decided we needed to plant some pretty flowers in the yard this weekend so we headed to Lowe's for a few trays of colorful annuals and some other Spring yard supplies.  Daddy worked hard getting the yard cleaned up for Spring and helped Evan plant his little Spring garden.  Mommy just had to sit back and watch the boys at work, and she didn't like it.

Photobucket
Evan had his own little tools for tilling the dirt and digging the holes for the plants.

A Practice Game

Evan's first "real" game of T-ball is set for next weekend, but his coaches decided to play a practice game at Saturday's practice so they could really show the kids what they will have to do.  It was so cute watching the kids out on the field, hitting the ball, catching, and throwing.  They all learned so fast.  I think this is going to be a great team!

What a cute little huddle!  They voted on a team name and decided on the Panthers.  We didn't tell them that was the wrong sport.  Haha!

Go Panthers!

A Baby Shower

Sherry's co-workers threw Brody a wonderful little baby shower on Wednesday.  I tried to tell them they didn't have to do anything since this was our second boy, and we had so many things from Evan, but we are so thankful for all the cute and practical new things for this baby!
