The Hudson family has not really had a chance to get together since Great-Grandpa died in 2018. All of the grandchildren are so spread apart and stay so busy with so many great-grandchildren to care for. This family really exploded since the first great-grandchild, Evan, was born in 2007. Sadly, Evan could not attend the reunion because he was at the U.S. Naval Academy. We all enjoyed reminiscing about old times and catching up on new times. Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Hudson really influenced all of their children and grandchildren and taught them the importance of family. Blood is thicker than water, you know!

A Day at the Beach ~ July 2025
With all of our busyness, we needed a relaxing day at the beach. I know, relaxing doesn't usually apply to our beach days with so many little ones. We attempted to visit a less busy and crowded beach on Edisto Island, and although the weather wasn't the best, we still managed to have some fun. There is a nice state park on the island that provides all the necessary facilities that families with kids require. It is about a 3 hour drive for us to this island so it is nice to get cleaned up before making the long drive home because it is often so late when we get home that the kids are just ready for bed. I like to take some body wash so the kids can shower off and put on clean dry clothes before we head for home.
Here is our fun cloudy day at the beach before the kids started back to school. Despite the cloudy start to the day, the sun did come out, and we all got a decent sunburn to show for it. Miss Maggie found a cool shell with a hole in it that we used to take some interesting beach pictures.
